Last night I tried out the Rose Hip pattern for crocheted flowers. I must have had quite a lot of brain power because I even remembered to convert it into UK stitch terminology before starting! I think it’s a very sweet pattern, but used up all the oddments of wool I had left so I am now in dire need of a top-up so I can play some more. I think I’d like to try the pattern with maybe only five or six petals. And thinner yarn so I can get a finer result. But definitely something to make more of!

Thanks so much for leaving a comment on mine. Now I have discovered your blog I’ll be back for sure. I have just finished making a flower like yours with the yarn I posted about today. These flowers look so very different according to the yarn you use and I saw some in a craft gallery the other day with a leaf on the back and a brooch pin for £23!! Do you think we could go into business?

Crocheting a little flower is such a nice achievable project, especially for me as a beginner! They would definitely look nice as a brooch on a winter wool coat… maybe all my relatives need one for Christmas!
