Ripple, ripple, ripple! Thank you Lucy at Attic24 for this easy pattern and super tutorial to get me going!
I’m using an acrylic yarn called ‘Smoothie’ by Paton. I don’t know anything yet about choosing yarn, but this felt nice in the shop and had nice colours so I got some. It’s very soft and silky, but quite hard to work with as the strands like to separate and because it’s so silky I get cramp in my fingers from trying to grip it and keep it under control! Still, I think it will make a nice scarf if I just keep rippling!
Your ripple looks quite nice so far — hope to see it when it is finished. I have yarn to make a ripple using Lucy’s pattern as well. I had hoped to be working on it by now but decided to finish my blue baby blanket first — it is done now and I am glad — I was starting to get bored working with only one color. I am really looking forward to using more color — I think I have 15 that I plan to use. I will be posting the finished baby blanket soon and hopefully the colors of my ripple.
